When it gets warm out, I crave salads- interesting, healthy, satisfying salads. I’ve scoured the internet and friends’ blogs for some of the best salad recipes for this summer. They call for seasonal, healthy ingredients, readily available from your supermarket or green grocer. All are vegetarian except for the Thai salad, which calls for fish sauce, which I deem optional. If you haven't tried jicama before, this is the salad for you. It goes well with citrusy vinaigrettes.
