I started my day by blasting Edith Piaf + eating a toasted bagel with lots of cream cheese.
Normally I start my weekdays by getting up at 5, having a quick cup of coffee and a snappy breakfast, and running out the door in a haphazard fashion attempting to look like a teacher. Today is no ordinary weekday.
I HAVE THE DAY OFF! [Insert loud cheering, vuvuzelas, the works.]
Time for more Ms. Piaf and leisurely coffee before I run, clean, and lesson plan. That’s my least favorite part of being a grad student (or… an adult?)– even when you have a day off, there are always things to do. But this morning is all mine, I declare!
I leave you with some links for weekend entertainment, crafting, cooking, + fashion. lv, molly
9 perfect fall outfits. I wish I could wear them all + that they didn’t cost an arm and a leg. My friend Janna calls Anthropologie “The Apologie.” Get it?
Brown Butter Tortellini. This sounds like the perfect simple fall comfort food. Yum!
Creative Pet Costumes via Martha Stewart (who else?). I can’t decide if I should be embarrassed for these little dogs, their owners, or myself because I find myself smiling at all of these pictures.
Read a book by Mario Vargas Llosa– the recent recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. I haven’t read any of his work yet, but this weekend might be the perfect time for a looksee.
French Onion Soup with Gruyere, sans beef stock! Nom nom nom.
Make jam! I used to make it as a kid with my mom, and I’m tempted to try it solo this weekend.
Cute gray ankle booties. If I had slimmer ankles + a strong desire to wear ankle boots, these would be the winners.
And lastly… more cool dogs with potentially weird owners.
