I’ve never quite understood why stores roll out their spring collections in January. The northeast is covered in snow; I’m wearing a big sweatshirt and a scarf; and the last thing I’m thinking about is vacationing on the coast of Mexico wearing linen pants and a bikini top.
That’s why I like pre-spring collections: they’re fitting for the transition from winter to spring and therefore slightly less ridiculous. This one is gorgeous but its prices are high. Still, can’t we admire beauty without necessarily coveting it? I love looking at collections, noticing something I like, and using a piece in my closet to create a similar effect or browsing the local vintage shops for its less expensive counterpart. lv, molly
P.S. Doesn’t this model look like a vampire?
