Including the words “easy” and “tart” in the title of this post sounds mildly derogatory.
Anyway, these are delicious. A dessert standby. An easy thing to make when you have guests drop by unexpectedly, if that sort of thing happens to you because usually I know when my friends are coming over.
Point is, these are good. And there are 4 ingredients. And that makes this recipe a keeper. lv, molly
2 tart apples, cored
1 lemon, juiced
1 pkg frozen puff pastry, defrosted
4 Tbl honey
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Thinly slice apples and toss in lemon juice and a pinch of water. No need to peel the apples.
Roll out puff pastry to about 1/4-inch thick on a lightly floured cutting board. Use round cookie cutters (or pint glasses) to cut out six to eight 2-inch circles. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet. Drain apples well, and arrange slices on each of the circles and drizzle with honey. Bake tarts for 12-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately, and enjoy! Excellent served with vanilla ice cream too.
